With the holiday season in full swing, we’ve had a few customers ask about rules around vaping abroad and of course, airports.
Whilst we would like to say that this is not guaranteed and we would advise you to check
sources yourself before traveling, we thought it would be a good idea to give you a little
guidance. Please remember, this is just guidance and shouldn’t be taken as gospel.
Airports and luggage
You can take your vapes and liquids on holiday from any UK airport. However, as you are
aware, devices contain lithium batteries and can be a fire risk. This includes disposable vapes. Therefore, they must travel with you in your hand or hold all luggage bags.
Your e-liquids will need to go in your suitcase as they will be treated like any other liquid and the current maximum amount for your hand luggage is 100mls. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO
DISPOSABLES. Whilst we recommend you carry your disposable vapes on board with you; you cannot exceed the 100ml limit. (disposables are 2ml each if legal!)
Remember that every country and airport has its own rules. These only apply to the UK.
Country laws and regulations
We are aware that some countries do not allow vaping at all so thought it would be handy to have a list of those who allow and those who don’t.

Some countries will allow vaping but have strict restrictions in place. Here’s some more
information.
In Australia, you can vape legally, however they have very strict laws that state you must have a DR’s prescription for it. The law varies from state to state so please check Australian vaping guidelines before traveling.
Columbia is a little confusing. It appears that vaping is legal but the sale and import is not legal. Jury’s out on this one!
In Malaysia you can only vape 0% nicotine products.
You can’t buy or sell vaping products in Turkey but you can bring your own.
America has various laws depending on the state so again, please research their guidelines before you travel.
If you are traveling to a country where vaping is illegal, please don’t try and get away
with it. There is a very serious threat of prison if you are caught and we certainly don’t
want to lose your custom when you don’t return!
If you are planning on taking a trip this summer, we hope you have an amazing time. Stay safe, stay legal and don’t forget to pop in and stock up before you go!
